We are excited to announce our 10th Anniversary Reunion happening Friday June 11 through Sunday June 13, 2010! Along with the Reunion we will also be hosting this year's Building Strong Naturalists Communities Gathering.
This three-day event will include:

Restoring Relationships through Peacemaking & Recognizing Origins of Historical Trauma with Jake Swamp, founder of the Tree of Peace Society and Paul Raphael, Odawa Peacemaker.
Skills Sharing and Adventures for Toddlers (2-5), Youth (6-12), Teens (13-18), & Adults.
Saturday Evening Reunion, Community Feast, Acknowledgment Ceremony and Dancing & Singing: This will be an evening of grand celebration as we reconnect with old friends and new, share stories and skills, pass on traditions, and celebrate nature connection with our growing circle of communities.

Who's Coming??
We envision many past and present VWS staff and students attending as well as regional school leaders, friends, and families. We have invited the VWS School Founders Mark Morey, Luz Elena Morey, Brian Robertshaw and Steve Young and invitations are being extended to Jon Young, Paul Raphael, Jake and Judy Swamp, and Elizabeth Powell (with hopes that she will come with some of Ingwe's scrapbooks)! We are also reaching out as quickly as possible to founding families, stakeholder families, and former apprentices and staff. Over the years we have had 150+ students in Oyase Community School, 40+ Apprentices in our Instructor Training Program as well as other staff, and many more folks of all ages from many different communities and schools who attended Art of Mentoring, the Teen Rendezvous, AoM Youth program, Building Strong Naturalist Communities or Tracking with Jon Young, Sacred Fire with Paul Raphael, Seven Sacred Attributes with Gilbert Walking Bull, and many other programs offered by Vermont Wilderness School over the past 10 years.
