Ingwe’s Path Scholarship Fund
The Vermont Wilderness School started the Ingwe’s Path Scholarship Fund in the Spring of 2007. The Fund opened with $1,000 from the School’s operating budget, and accepts donations specifically for the Fund. The Fund awards scholarships for participation in a variety of nature awareness and mentoring programs that further VWS’s vision, but are not offered by the School itself.
The goal of the Ingwe’s Path Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance to individuals who wish to participate in programs offered by the wide variety of teachers and institutions in our community, but who require financial assistance in order to do so.
Ingwe was one of the elders and mentors of our school. We are grateful to his wife, Elizabeth Powell, for allowing us to honor his memory by giving his name to our scholarship fund.
