Nourishing Our Roots – Details & Registration

Nourishing Our Roots is a recurring retreat series program hosted by a team of Vermont Wilderness School’s nature-connection facilitators. You can participate from home or another location of your choice. You can participate solo or as a self-organized group such as a family or neighborhood. Either way, you will be a part of a larger community for the duration of the program and beyond.

Program Schedule

Below is a schedule for the weekend. All sessions listed here will happen via Zoom.

You should plan to spend some time in-between calls outside, on the land you have selected as your home base for this retreat!

Each session provides framing for a set of reflective questions and activities to engage on your own or with your local companions.  The afternoon sessions include sharing with others what has emerged from your engagement of the questions and activities.

Saturday Feb 5

  • 9:00 am – 10:30 am — Morning Session – Opening Circle
  • 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm — Afternoon Session
  • 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm — Late Afternoon Session
  • 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm — Evening Story Circle (Optional)

Sunday, Feb 6

  • 9:00 am – 10:30 am — Morning Session 
  • 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm — Afternoon Session
  • 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm — Closing Circle


  1. Registration is currently closed. Complete the short form below to be notified when it re-opens.
  2. When it re-opens, fill out a registration form for each person you are signing up and be sure to click the SUBMIT button. A submitted registration will generate an automated confirmation email with the subject “[Name]’s Nourishing Our Roots registration has been received.” Save that for proof-of-registration.
    • You’re welcome attend this retreat as an individual who doesn’t know the other participants – we’ll be introducing everyone! – but this is also envisioned as a program that a group of family/friends/colleagues could do together.
    • We empower you to invite others to do this with you if you wish! Simply complete a registration for each person that includes your Group’s name (which can be anything you choose: a family last name, or organization you’re all affiliated with, or a place you’re all connected with, or something else). Let us know if you have questions about Group registrations.
  3. Consider how much you will compensate the instructors and complete the payment box to the right if your chosen amount is greater than $0 —->
  4. Before this retreat begins, complete this short waiver form.
